Originally carved onto a stone tablet when I was a little younger. This was put to music and sung by a choir in Derby Cathedral, (England). We lived by a pictuesque resevoir and nearby seven trees stood on a slight mound. When they built the resevoir they drowned a village....

Oooooooops!! Seven Angels in Sunset

June 5 2004, 5:58 AM

Seven Angels in sunset,
With spreading arms,
Reaching for love and care
And serenity so calm.

Disdainful yet so mighty,
Like Queens upon their thrones,
Waiting for eruption
And no audience for their groans.

Important thoughts so small,
And sitting on the World,
In Autumn, their arms are brittle,
In Summer, their hands unfurled.

When ladened with heavy worry
That you wish and hope to forget,
Then stand alone on distant hill and see
Seven Angels in sunset.
