Midnight Rider

Speckled stars dust the horizon,
Like if you could just keep drivin’, you could reach out;
And grab one, by the tail,

He’s got the hood folded back and the radio’s playin’,
The cool night’s breeze blowin’ his hair back in waves,
Neither’s got a care in the world,
Tonight… tonight they got nothin to lose,

[CHORUS]
Teenage dreams,
Clipped from, magazines,
Pinned along, the walls,
Of a mind, that’s taken, hits and falls,
Motor revved, we’re ready to go,
And nobody said, that we were takin’ this slow,

The hood’s gone silver, with the twilight moon,
The milky way’s bendin’ in the beggar’s spoon,

There goes worry, next exit may take all night,
And for the midnight rider... well, that’s all right,

[CHORUS]

Lookin' for a brand new stunt to pull,
He’s running on empty, but the dial reads full,

Crystallized on the horizon, shines a dazzling light,
But the tires scream ‘forward’, and he races for night,

Live fast and hard and don’t die at all,
He really don’t care for daylight’s call,
