Words only seem to play down the emotion,

That there’s a humbling irony,
When the words of truth were just an act,
He can toss around false philosophy,
But it’s seldom more than a writer’s toys,
I mean, if a tree false and no one’s listenin',
Does it really make a noise,
It’s hardest when emotions,
Start getting in the way,
But ya know, if it was up to me,
It wouldn’t get told that way,

Whoa no... I get within ten feet of a guitar and it suddenly seems to go out of tune for no apparent reason... No, that's strictly matt's job, he's the guitar man; I just write, and if the need strikes I suppose I could take a shot at singing
