Hug

I have a locket but don’t have your hair,
I have your photograph but you are not there.
I need to build memories, up close and true,
I need your embrace, I truly need you.

I’ve read your words, so mistily bright,
Through curtains of tears, so sad but so right.
I’ve tasted your voice, like sweet morning dew
But I need your embrace, I truly need you.

Plans laid, promises made, all have strayed
But a love such as ours, is not masquerade.
The time is nigh and our fate is due
I will be by your side and I will embrace you.

Time moves slowly for I am a child,
The primal winds of fate are free and wild.
Waiting for Christmas, waiting for you.
A sweet embrace, so overdue.

Hi Rusty!

July 11 2004, 10:39 PM

Planning a trip, Sir Rusty? Is someone going to have a special Christmas this year?

Good to see you, my dear. You are missed when you're not around.

I really like your poem too! Thanks for sharing!

Love and Hugs,

Alice
