Even Now

Thinking back to a time now past
Wanting tender memories to last
Even now, they leave me aglow.

Whispering together on a cold wintry night
Ice crystals fall gently under moonlight
We leave footprints in the snow.

Feeling as though I had wings of a dove
I’ll always remember my first time in love
And how I never wanted you to go.

I look at you right now and see
All we have shared was meant to be.
Passion between us, a constant flow.

Knowing we will never part
Shaped to form a perfect heart
Love eternal can only grow.

Thanks, Julie!

How nice to hear a tale of truly deep and enduring love in this day and age, Julie! Something all too many people in the world haven't yet found - or if they've found it, they can't act on it for some reason or other. You and your husband are very lucky, and very blessed. But you know all that, don't you?

Thanks for sharing, my friend. Gives us hope!

Love and Hugs,

Alice

Hello my friend,
There is nothing more wonderful in life than the love between two people and you have expressed it beautifully in this poem. I could envision two silhouettes in a winter moonlight walking hand and hand. Loved this one, Julie.
Love,
Suzanne
