Action
Aaaaannnnd ACTION!
SLAP! of the clapperboard
.
Within a murky dusk,
Impatience looms,
Extras begin walking, holding their hats, clinching their coats,
Pushing and shoving anyone in their path.
A tempest springs from nowhere, lighting strobes lightning,
Electric cables dance the street, light fantastic.
Huge fans on turrets swing vicious arcs,
Trees bend in the gale, aided by wires and winches,
Floodlights dim to black, flash to white.
Vehicles randomly parked, abandonly parked,
Dirty, grimy with many rough edges.
A wino escapes a doorway, runs across the street,
Holding a coat sleeve down
To cover his expensive watch.
A car grumbles to walking speed,
A lady stumbles / walks, to catch the car,
Bends to the drivers window,
And a seven inch heel gets caught in a drain.
The heel breaks, she falls, rolls onto her back,
Under the downpour from a firemans hose.
OK! OK! OK! STOP!!!!
It took several hours to reform the scene
..
Aaaaannnnd ACTION!
SLAP! of the clapperboard
.
No drain this time a painted version,
And the car pulled to a stop.
Heated discussion.
The lady pulled her top up, exclaiming,
These are not bloody free and they come in pairs!
She wobbly / walked through piecing headlights,
Climbed into the car they had a deal.
And the man at the wheel looked smug.
A police car with lights off, stealthily followed.
And Rusty Riley, cameraman, sat on his stool,
He and his camera, smoothly guided on tracks,
Followed the cars, to a point where he had to cut.
And the night was day again
And all pretence ended.

Hello Rusty,
You have a wonderful imagination added with the talent of great description. I appreciate your work because you are able to go that one step beyond which brings the reader right into the images of your own mind without any apparent effort on your part. Like a singer with the natural talent of always being able to find just the right key and tone! As always I enjoy your work. Thanks.
