Very good poem, excellent visuals, Julie! Although I'm not quite ready to face Autumn yet! It does mean the boys will be back in school, which will be a blessing - I've almost forgotten what quiet days are like by now I think!

We have a TV commercial here where a woman is walking down the street and just starts shrieking - the camera pans down to the sidewalk, and there's an autumn leaf on the ground. That's just about exactly how I feel when the leaves start to change. Another month or so and my hedges will be bare again, and winter will be just around the corner. One of these years I'll be flocking south when it gets cold, but not quite yet!

I am tired of the heat and I am ready to enjoy the Fall weather that is happening in my area. All it took was a few leaves to scatter on my lawn and a touch of color change to bring about ~Autumn Winds.

My son also reminded me of the nice times with the fireplace at night with my husband playing guitar and the kids enjoying some cocoa.

The "little things in life" are the grandest of all.
