Hi Julie,
I would have done this through email, but other poets might be interested in the answers too.
I'm thinking of compiling a collection of my poetry to publish through Publish America. When I gave them Twenty Fifty-Five, the contract specified that they own the rights to the book for seven years.
Do you know if this applies to poetry books as well, and if so, does it apply to the collection as a whole or to each individual poem? Would publishing through them prevent me from using any of those poems in any other way, or just prevent other companies or publications from using those poems?
If you don't know all of this, I'll try to find out through the company, but I thought you'd likely know.
Thanks Julie!
Love and Big Hugs,
Alice
