The Borinjer

Sid Daley, weak minded individual.
Stamp collector of no acclaim.
Man with a shadow and little else.
Except.
He is a borinjer of the first order.

As a child he was invited to parties.
(Not anymore).
Always borinjing the party bags,
Successfully
And with little or no stampede.
Need to borinje – no need to feed.

As he grew older
He would borinje the last empty seat
On the school bus,
With little fuss.
Maybe he would shoulder
A couple of kids out of his way.

In his teens
He would borinje girls at the local dance,
Always success
That always led to ultimate failure.
Born to borinje
But not to woo.

Sid took, (borinjed), a job
With a mail order company.
Securing parcels, working mail merge.
That’s where he developed the urge
For stamp collecting,
He thought stamps may be on the way out.

At the company Christmas do,
His art of borinjing
Was perfected and brought to the fore,
When the buffet was declared open.
Sid – the borinjing bore –
Wanted nothing more.

Sidney Daley liked to borinje,
Subconciously
Preferred borinjing to collecting stamps.
If born one of triplets
He would have subtley borinjed his Mother’s breast.
He plucked an envelope from a pile –
It was wrongly addressed.

Cool new word, Rusty!

Excellent! I love new words! Did you make this one up totally? And how would one pronounce it, just like it looks? Rhymes with doorhinge and orange, kind of?

Thanks Rusty! You always put a big smile on my face.

Love and Big Hugs,

Alice
