If any of you don't know his name, Jack has been a musician along with his wife Misty Morgan for over 35 years now - and even before that! The first time I heard one of Jack's songs, I was sweeping the kitchen floor, could not believe my ears! I LOVED whoever did that song!!! Was a vast change from our usual country radio selectionis of Perry Como and Anne Murray!
I'm sure some of you must have heard Jack's Tennessee Birdwalk when it first hit the airways - it was at the top of the Billboard Charts for many weeks. Jack can tell you exactly how many, I'm sure. I've tried to find the link for the song, but been unsuccessful - Jack, is it still online?
Somehow, through the magic of this machine, Jack and I got to be friends. I'm sorry I don't remember exactly how or where we met at the moment, my memory is still very bad. Hope it's not permanently damaged from the Carbon Monoxide poisoning all winter, that would be a crying shame.
Today {the 8th} is Jack's birthday, I made this fun little page for him:

And then tonight I suddenly thought DUH, why haven't I ever asked Jack to post his daily columns here? I forgot to mention that he's also a Columnist, has a daily column with over 40,000 readers now. They're fun, entertaining, and insightful - and well written. Jack traditionally leaves at least one typo per column, his version of the Persian Flaw.
I can't believe it took me this long to ask you to come over here, Jack! This is a pretty quiet place, but I really hope some of you will read, enjoy, and comment on Jack's columns. I know I sure will, I've been reading them in email for years and have enjoyed every one of them!
Thanks for coming over here Jack!

Now there'll be something else to celebrate on your Birthday every year, you coming to Wondersmith West!
Love and BIG Hugs,
Alice
