I should be in the opening scene!!

June 25 2006, 4:09 PM

If they are showing it the way they filmed it, you never know, but the opening scene could very well be me and another women walking up the street of an old-west town, smiling and laughing together, greeting other people on the street. I'll be the shorter one, and then I'm close to the stars in a lot of other scenes. They'd have to do a lot of editing to have left me on the cutting room floor in this one, Julie!

PLEASE tell me all about it, I won't get to see it!!

I'm a wreck, thinking of 26 million people watching me on TV AND I CAN'T EVEN WATCH IT!!! Well, hopefully later I'll be able to, a couple of people have said they'll put it on DVD for me, thank God! I hope they really do, because AMC says they're not selling they're original programming.

I'm letting the radio station phone ring endlessly, so I can tell her the only bar in town we know about with the right television service won't play the series, because they only play sports!!! In Calgary, which is a Wild West town, for goodness sakes!

Oh well, maybe for some reason it's best if I don't watch it, only God knows. Maybe they cut out the entire town scenes? That would be funny in a way, wouldn't it?

Thanks Julie, I appreciate and Love you.

Love and Big Hugs,

Alice

Will have to get the DVD myself

June 26 2006, 3:28 PM

I missed the first few minutes and then "life " interfered my viewing of the movie.

I want to see the whole thing and without all the silly commercial interruptions . Will try again tonight to watch more , but I want to see the whole movie.

Not only am I an Alice Bateman fan , but a Robert Duvall fan as well.

God bless you always.

Love and ((((HUGS)))),

Watching some now..

Canada is beautiful , love the horse scenes and the sunset scenes on the lake. Serious theme movie mixed with a touch of romance in the lovely lands of Canada. What can be better...

I really can't wait to see it in its entirety. Looks like an awesome movie and I am so proud of you being a part of it.

OK ...I hear the horses running and Duvall speaking ...back to the movie .

Pray you have a peaceful evening ...

((HUGS))

I wish I could see ANY of it!!

June 26 2006, 6:42 PM

Julie, are they advertising a DVD of the whole thing for sale? I sure hope so, but there's a note on the AMC site that they don't sell their original programming. But after putting $25 Million into Broken Trail, they might see the wisdom of selling DVDs.

Canada is totally beautiful, Julie, especially these parts, that's why I live in the West. I'm in love with the countryside - years ago, my first two years out West in the late 70's, I felt like I'd stepped into a beautiful painting. There's no way to describe it, so I'm really glad my friends are getting to watch Broken Trail just to see my surroundings. Of course I'm in the City of Calgary, but all that is just a short drive away - it took us about 45 minutes or so to drive out to the set every day when it was being filmed. Totally beautiful countryside!

It sounds like there were only a few brief scenes of my little town and Saloon last night, so maybe there's more of it tonight.

Thanks, Julie! I'm sort of sharing your viewing with you right now.

Love and BIG HUGS,

Alice
