Tinkel

Tinkel stood kneedeep in stardust laughing golden tears
Waving her wand, weaving an exquisite bond
Between the two so far apart, yet so very near,
Separated, allocated lives, on opposite shores of such a amall pond.

Tinkel flew between the two in a fleeting tick,
Leaving time for somersaults and superb pirouettes.
Giggling at their dumbness, she flicks her magic stick
And gives the happy lady an invisible string quartette.

They play in her mind – Welcome to my World –
And she finds relaxation and an intangible elation.
Tinkel rolls around in stardust, happily spluttering kicking her legs – That’s My Girl!!
Tinkel dances on the lady’s shoulder, then flits to a different nation.

She finds him blubbering into a glass of the finest port,
And settles on his bowed head. – Hey Sonny, all is not dead!!! –
Tinkel sprinkles Fairy Dust onto his hair, to alter his train of thought.
He stands upright, the pond is but a pond …….. he’s hungry …….he breaks bread.

And the two continue their lives apart, knowing they have one heart,
That beat as two until Jesus sees fit to make them synchronise.
Tinkel tumbles down to his neck, intertwining a work of art.
She’s so happy, and so will they be, she sees it in their dream filled eyes.

They both know Tinkel
But they don’t,
They know she’s there
But they don’t.
They both know the other is there
And they do.

I Love Tinkel!!

December 20 2007, 8:51 AM

The pond that seems so big is yet so small
Modern wonders like the airplane over all
And computers too, where they can sit and talk
Minds hand in hand, go for a river walk

As Tinkel leads them in a dance of love
The Angels laugh as they watch from above
They know these parted lovers are as one
And have been since the world was just begun

Mere distance cannot part two loving souls
And time means little as the world unfolds
One day their sparkling paths will cross anew
To let these lovers see how their love grew

This just flowed out in response to your poem, Dear Rusty. Hope you don't mind.

Love and BIG HUGS,

Alice
