Blueness

Weakened and weeping; on the plank
In the darkness …chained to sorrow
I jump into the blueness
Of tomorrow.

Defeated, wounded and broken
The mirror shows my enemy
I find it hard to breathe …
Who will help me to again believe
That the clouds of smoke will clear
And blueness shall soon disappear?

My lamp has no more oil
And no one seems to have
Any drops to spare
I exist in a cruel world
Too big to care about
My fragile welfare.

I find it hard to breathe…

Psalm 109 :22 For I am poor and needy,
and my heart is wounded within me.

Blueness

Lovely poem but sadness is not usually your theme Julie. I hope all is OK in your world.

The world is big and can be cruel but I firmly believe there are far more 'good' folk than uncaring folk but even 'good' folk can do nothing unless they are informed.

Kind Regards Rusty

Rusty ...

April 12 2008, 7:59 AM

The canvas was blank before I wrote this one out .
It was only memories of blueness that I carried to the pen last night ~~

but the reality of those who ignore the hurting
sadly remains the present truth in it .

Thank you for caring , Rusty. Means more than you know...
