| My woman is a lover,
while, myself, I am a fighter,
yet I run to her for cover
and attain my strength beside her.
I could think that I am hardy
and pretend that I am daring,
yet it's she whose mantle guards me
even with the weight she’s bearing.
Still, I try to offer guidance,
and I hope that I might help her,
but I've found complete reliance
on her safe and peaceful shelter.
My woman loves me dearly
and she trusts in my protection
though, to me, it shows so clearly
that I thrive on her directions.
She uses reason justly
with compassion in her plan,
She is ruthless when she must be
and has mercy when she can. |

Jim - this must be so true for many fortunate couples. The words and verses are so tightly bound, yet they flow so naturally and smoothly portray the true beauty, power, mystery and love of a woman. | |
