Shadows
They bond to us along the way
Covering each place we find
Polite travelers; not much to say
Although we chatter, they pay no mind.
They’d rather not be on their own
So, they walk with us on grass and stone
And when we approach the shore and sea
They too, enjoy tranquility.
We see their form in lovely light
Yet hide when in the dark of night
When morning sun is all around
They’re up...waiting to be found.
