Now, on an actual note about the book. ...Did anybody notice they never said the name of the guy who interviewed Louis anywhere in the book? Now, I know the name because I was looking into information about the series, and he appears later on in the series again, but in this book I don't think they ever said his damned name!

I don't think they say his name either. And a chapter in a later book is entitled, ____________ or, the boy from Interview with the Vampire. So they had to clarify that in another book.

I was glad to read this book again. Now I remember why I liked it to much, and the movie too.

Oh, and in case people were wondering, as we discussed before, the movie is very similar to the book. For those of you who have seen Queen of the Damned, but not read the book, they are extremely different.

I haven't gotten to Queen yet, I'm still reading The Vampire Lestat. But, I did see the movie. I also noticed in the movie they seemed to cram half of The Vampire Lestat into that movie also for no reason at all. From what I can tell so far just from the Lestat book parts, they messed it up entirly. First of Marius didn't sire Lestat, that was that weirdo Magnus! A few other things seemed different. Like they didn't mention Louis in it when in The Vamp Lestat, in the beginning Lestat is speaking about Louis and the interview that he gave the boy. The movie seems to be way off and I haven't even gotten to that book yet! How sad lol?

I'm starting the Vampire Lestat tonight and I'm really excited about it. I don't remember what happens. Because of an unfortunate incident involving my sister selling my copy of VS, I skipped right to Queen of the Damned. It kept on talking about stuff that happened in VS, and I had forgotten what that was.

Yes, no one likes to watch Queen of the Damned with me because I sit there and tell them. "That's not what happened in the book. This is what really happened."

Back to the discussion at hand. What did you guys think of the "boy" wanting to become a vampire after hearing Louis' tale?

I think he was transfixed by Louis the way any mortal is to a vampire, which is how it seems. It seems like any human who comes into contact with a vampire for an extendid amount of time seems to "fall in love" with the vampire. Now, I wonder how the affects last on the mortal after the vampire leaves.

Okay, now what I can't wait to get to is actuallt in The Vampire Lestat. In the beginning of that book, he was saying that when he found the copy of 'Interview With The Vampire' it was filled with lies. I enjoy the part I'm at now, in the past when he was sired, but, I can't wait until he gets back to the preseant and talks with Louis. I want to know what in the book isn't true, and what the truth is! I can't wait lol! ...But don't tell me lol!

Ok, I won't tell you. I always tell people I want to know something and then get mad at them if they tell me, so I won't ruin it for you.

But I think you're really going to like the next 2 books in the series. You find out a lot of stuff that you were just wondering about. And I better just stop typing before I say anything else

Okay, but answer this. I was reading the synopsis on each of the books. Is 'Tale Of The Body Thief' placed in the past, or in the time line does it come after 'The Queen Of The Damned'? I ask because reading the synopsis, I know it has Louis in it, and I was just wondering if this happened during the time period that Lestat was with Louis and Claudia, or if this happened now and he meets up with Louis again. Of course, don't give too much away lol!

Louis is actually one of my favorites. I wouldn't mind learning more about him and what he has been doing since the last book he was in. He should have some adventures, too.

I've been kinda slow with it because I have been super busy with work and stuff, so I'm just to where he and Nicolas go to Paris. I'm hoping that after this week I will be able to get into it more.

Oh, I'm a bit further then that. Lestat was just transformed into a Vampire by Magnus, Magnus threw himself into the flame, and now Lestat is out in a village on his second night of being a Vampire. I think he was on the way home, and seen something in a grave yeard or something where I stopped. I can't remember exactely, but I know it'll come back once I pick it back up and read a bit more. Oh well. Enjoy your reading!
