All I can say is wow, Kim Harrison, you are creative! Making Nick her familure? Damn! And the demon knew the ENTIRE time, because he congratulated her in binding one! God, Demons are smart cookies, aren't they? As soon as Nick walked into that class it just clicked that it happened and I was like, no way, she isn't going there, that'd just be way too different. And she went there, and it worked!

Well, I'm still prety curious about Ivy. I mean it's obvious she's trying to take controll over Rach, just so no other Vamp will. I mean she probably wants to in a sense, but at the same time she probably also doesn't want to so she doesn't mess around with Rach. I do think there is more to Ivy this time around then just her vamp instincts and what not, I think something else is going on that we don't know about yet.

My original thought was to not dismiss Dr. Avrey (is that her name, I can't even remember, this is sad) as the suspect so soon, since it's obviously having Rach dismiss her. But now I'm not so sure. I don't think she is the Witch Hunter, now I'm leaning towords Trent. Still not 100% positive on reasoning other then suspisions though. But I think the good ol' doc is going to team up with Trent since she is a smart woman. She'll eaither team up with him to save her own ass, or sell him out to the FIB and Rach for protection...and probably end up blown up like that dude in DWW (and yes, I forgot his name too, why the hell is my memory so damned bad?).

The book is absolutely geting better.  The bit where Nick was the familiar was good and the scene in the kitchen was good, although the entire demon thing is confusing.

The fact that the Dr. woman knew Rachel's father and he told her to flunk Rachel if she ever showed up in her class was very interesting.  I actually think the Dr. is a good guy and won't go over to Trent, but will be killed before she can tell Rachel how to undo the familiar thing on Nick. 

 

Oh man, all I'm saying is that you're right about some things and wrong about others.

I'll also say the demon is becoming a big player in the series and he's one of my favorite characters (later Nick names him something as a code name for him, I love that code name, wait 'till you see it lmao!).

At this point I'm starting to really like Dr. Woman (haha, MadEye, I like that name lol).
