... upon shifting my focal point, I found agreeable.
I still hold that attending to each individual (i.e., one's neighbor) and the environment (i.e., the overarching "Unity" by and in which all exists) is a MUST, but you are correct in that "good works" can be inspirationally contagious ... somewhat like smiles. :) So, I've adjusted my thinking accordingly; indeed, a good rain can cleanse what simply stands in it.
Of course, you know this raises the question: What is the definition of "good"? And for that, what do we do ... consult encyclopedic entry "Socrates (et al)"? In and of itself, that's a "good" thing to do -- Philosophy is a delightful labyrinth to get lost and found within -- but such a consultation tends to leave much to be desired in addressing matters more concrete, practical, and urgent.
So, whatchya got, Vince? Any objective definition? Personally, I have me a stranglehold on a fruit tree, but the thing won't give me any "good" words yet. There have been a few grumbles and mumbles about "that which is beneficial and/or conducive to life", and there was something picked up about "also being productive", but not much else.
By the way, as enjoyable as this is ("Thank you" back), I do have to ask ... what were we talking about again? :)
