But I don't think that's what Pandera (Jesus) himself advocated. I think "poor" was a code word for the movement he was heading. I don't see any evidence for Jesus ever advocating a communistic form of life-style. If he said, "give to the poor" he meant giving to his movement -I believe. Once he became King, all of his sacrificing followers would be rewarded handsomely ..... or so they believed. He never made it to King status though.
The WAY followers -on the other hand- probably DID live communally.
