Response to Don't forget to nibble from the Koran!

After poking around at Mr. D's board, I noticed "Don" appears a common name. I am not either of the Dons posting there, nor am I the one (the paralegal) who also has posted here at Crossroads in the past. I would hope that such would be evident by my writing style (and, dare I say, the mannered, albeit goofy picture of myself I carefully weave into my words, as such is a true representation of my mind hilariously struggling with understanding the difference between string cheese and language) ... but perhaps there still is some confusion pertaining to who's who.

One post in particular at Mr. D's (authored by Gerard) mentioned a "Don" who regularly posts there as possibly being the same "Don" who also has posted here (at Crossroads). It is not known (by me) if such was referring to my recent activity here or some other Don's activity here in the past. I hope the "question" wasn't pointing at me, as I do not now, nor have I ever posted at Mr. D's, and neither do I think I ever shall desire to; in fact, after recently taking a gander there, I doubt I shall return ... that is, unless I find myself in possession of too much sanity and needing to pull out my hair.

As I'm sure different strokes for different folks is applicable in this case, I do not want to offend Mr. D's "owner" (Striver's son, if I've gathered correctly) or visitors there, but such a place ... well, it's a wee bit too frenetic for my tastes ... plus a lot, then some! :)

Anyway, given the (anonymous) nature of the Internet, I realize this amounts only to a "for what it's worth" attempt to clear up any identity confusion. I'm a lurker (here, there, and yonder) and only sporadically post anything. I'm not a paralegal ... but I have publicly griped about extreme abuse of language (spell-checker's too difficult to figure out for some, I guess), and I have questioned some things that have had my mind repetitively auditioning for an Exorcist sequel. Usually, I stay quiet, reading posts that grab my attention, keeping to myself any comments I otherwise might wish to make. Of course, all cussing directed toward the computer monitor stays strictly offline ... should such "ahem-ing" ever occur, that is.

:)

Don (who both is and isn't "Don", without being contradictory)
