Vince, according to Acts 2:44-47 and Acts 4:32-37 the "Kingdom of God" was an alternative society, similarly to family life that you and I experienced while we were young. No need for any money, we were provided with what we needed - food, water, clothing for free.
.....Those who deserved help, wanted to escape from the "normal" life in "The World", and couldn't cope, wanting to restart their life, with "the slate" cleaned off, all of their mistakes/sins forgiven, could, if they fully qualified for entry, get to be members of "The Kingdom of God" as born again children". They had to give all of their property to the administration, to be shared, and were called by outsiders "The Poor" because they had no money - they didn't need any internally. THAT was the major item in the Christianity of Jesus. |
