We are a group of friends who have come together because we share the common bond of caring for someone who has Trisomy 21. We are here to share therapy tips, medical issues, laughs, accomplishments and yes, even frustrations. We embrace what Trisomy 21 has brought into our lives. We feel that it has taught us to appreciate the true meaning of life. We count our children as blessings! We will fiercely protect them and fight for their lives to be valued just as all other peoples' are. We share our pictures, our stories and our hearts here not only to provide friendship and support for each other, but also in the hopes that others will open their minds and their hearts to our unique children and, in turn, make a better world for everyone.

Sounds like your girls are ready to roll! What size shoes does Mina wear? I have an itty bitty pair of pink cow girl boots and a pair that is 9 or 9.5 that are black. No other cowgirl things though. Or Dora! Or Little Red riding hood. But a red cape would be lots of fun for year round pretending!

Myla was really sure what she wanted in the past, but this year she keeps changing it. She has been a blue bedtime carebear, a lion, princess, and flapper girl. (that I sewed up when she was a baby) and we have dress up things too. But after sifting through the giant chest, a lot of it isn't really trade worthy. I'll look in the basement at the baby costumes though because those have years of life left in them. She is wanting to wear that same flapper that she had at age 1 again and it was cheap and easy to sew, so we may do a weekend sewing project together and make her a bigger one. She likes to browse the catalogs that come in the mail (how did our name get on those lists? lol) and she sees any fluffy, tutu style costume or wings and she wants those. Faries, tutu bumble bee, tutu lady bug. But she never sticks to the same thing and even changes her mind whie flipping through. So I think we'll just make a date and sew a flapper costume.

Zachary is going to wear a bunting costume we already have and I'm not sure about Johnny yet. We could use a boy 2T or 3T costume but if he doesn't get healthy, he won't be able to participate in any outdoor things in costume. ?? Now that I think about it, we have a really furry, fuzzy lion costume that is just the body, tail, and lion mane hood that he'd fit. Not sure if he'd enjoy it, hee hee hee, but it would fit.

I really do need to dig around. The boys go down for a nap in a while, so I need to get them out of bins and take inventory of what we have...
