We are a group of friends who have come together because we share the common bond of caring for someone who has Trisomy 21. We are here to share therapy tips, medical issues, laughs, accomplishments and yes, even frustrations. We embrace what Trisomy 21 has brought into our lives. We feel that it has taught us to appreciate the true meaning of life. We count our children as blessings! We will fiercely protect them and fight for their lives to be valued just as all other peoples' are. We share our pictures, our stories and our hearts here not only to provide friendship and support for each other, but also in the hopes that others will open their minds and their hearts to our unique children and, in turn, make a better world for everyone.

Response to Senior Year First
Thanks so much AGAIN! Yes, Laney and I are still cleaning the library. It has been a great experience. I know that sounds strange about cleaning, but Laney has gotten so confident in the job and enjoys going. FOr now I am letting her spend her paycheck half any way she pleases. I think she deserves to have fun with her $ like any teenager does. After a few more months though we will discuss saving part of it for things she wants. She is giving her own offering at church now and that is cool! I totally agree with you "be realistic" advice!

I just found out the conference is Feb. 18 and 19. I invited Laneys teacher/also a good friend, to go with me. Killing two birds with one stone, right!!!! We parents always have to be thinking.
