Is anybody else going to proms this year? Marissa came home from school today and said she got asked to the Jr. Prom. I knew she wanted to go but did not know if she would get a date or go with a group of girls. Well- I guess I should not have been stressing over it!

She got asked by another young man in her class who she also works with at the pizza place. He is a great dancer, very fun and also has Down Syndrome. I spoke with his parents today and it is all set up! March 8th is the night of the dance.

Now all we have to do is find a hot red dress! Marissa and he decided they are wearing black and red!

Wow what a great experience for Marissa. Alex is a freshman so no dance this year. Still too new to the school to be asked by an older student but I guess my days are coming.

I can't wait to see pictures.

Well- the prom was Sat night and she and her date looked so awesome! They took formal pictures but we will not get them for 2 weeks! Marissa wore a red dress that had rhinestones on the straps and her girlfriend did her hair and makeup-he wore a black suit with a silver tie and his sister made a red rose wristlet for Marissa and red rose butanere for Jason.

They danced all night and only took one break for punch although a full yummy buffet was available for snacking. They were the last ones to leave the dance floor. It was a awesome night and I am so proud and happy that they went. I will post a pic when I get them!
