I've noticed that doctors push BC pills, claiming they have all kinds of "health benefits". However, there is no need for a woman to take a BC pill so that "her body can recover from childbirth". These pills are pharmaceutical drugs and should be used with caution.

Also, personally I am afraid of BC pills. I had to take them one time to try and get rid of an ovarian cyst; well, my body swelled up, I put on 10 pounds overnight and my breasts became incredibly painful. And no - the cyst did not go away, in fact it got worse.
