| I wrote about 2,5 years ago about my miracle pregnancy which then ended, but I loved that over three-month period of time and the little girl I lost (week 14+4). I didntīt use any medication although my fsh was elevated (nearly 40) and never have. The only thing I did for getting pregnant was to stay in good state of physical and mental health (exercising regularly), eat wheatgrass and trying to keep my mind positive.
I was 44 when I became pregnant for the first time in my life. I had always dreamed of being a mother, so when it finally happened that I got pregnant, I was in heaven.
After I had lost my babygirl I hoped for a new pregnancy, but that didnīt happen. But life is wonderful and just when you think you have lost your dreams, miracles happen. Last February I found out that I had some sort of a tumor in my uterus. Doctor told me that the best cure would probably be hysterectomy. To me that meant to give up dreams of having a child of my own and it was hard to swallow. In my mind I hadnīt given up babydreams, so now I was against the wall. When the doctor examined me properly, she found out that the "tumor" was bening and probably a polype. What a relief - this meant it could be operated with hysteroscopy! No need for hysterectomy.
So I got the time for hysterectomy and just three weeks before the operation I got peculiar symptoms and wondered what they meant. No periods, sore breasts and so on. I did the pregnancy test and got two lines - I was pregnant!!! Unbelievable. So I informed my doctor immediately who said that false results can occur with my situation and he didnīt believe I was pregnant. So I made an appointment with him to find out whether this was a false alarm. It wasnīt. He was very very surprised when he told me that I really was pregnant and showed me how my babyīs heart was beating on the monitor. He also said that the polype would be no problem and nature (=pregnancy) takes care of it (aborts it itself).
I am 46 years old now and pregnant for nearly 25 weeks. It will be just in days whether Iīll be on labour before I turn out 47 or not. I am in good shape, everything has gone just fine. I have enjoyed this pregnancy and it feels so unbelievable that my biggest dream is coming true.
Mom to be for the first time at the age of 46 (almost 47). So, never lose your hopes, miracles do happen whatever the fsh is.
