NT scan went great at 12 weeks. Just got the corresponding b/w.
My OB gave me the results and he said they were great. I didn't believe him (of course!) and so I called the Genzyme counselor based out of the hospital where I had the test done. She just confirmed that they are very good results.
The Genzyme counselor has explained this:
Based purely on age, the risk for someone my age at term (I'll be 39.9), is as follows:
Down - 1:56
Trisomy 18 - 1:190
When they factored in my actual b/w results for PAPP-A and beta HCG, plus the NT results, the risk dropped to:
Down - 1:1,300
Trisomy 18 - 1:10,000
Do you agree these are good results? It seems to me like it is!! Just need real life assurance from experienced ladies.
