Go for it, Alli. My church has a big one twice a year. The consignors get 60% of the sale price and 40% is given to missions. You wouldn't believe some of the fantastic deals I found at the last one - an exersaucer for $20, a Zackali for Kids knit outfit for $10 (which retails for $110!), and many others. My Mom's friend who has 4 year old twins makes enough from her yearly yard sale to rent a condo in Destin for 10 days every summer.
I would sell my swing, etc., but a good friend of mine recently found out her 20 year old daughter who is a college student is expecting. They're extremely disappointed, so I tried to cheer her up by reminding her that they won't have to buy any baby equipment other than a bed b/c they can use all my stuff.
By the way, Alli, my Mom has now turned your wonderful blog writing against me. Every time I "complain" about being tired, worn down, etc., she'll say, "Well think about the lawyer with the triplets. She's has much more on her plate than you do!" Gee, I know I don't have three babies, but I'm entitled to be tired now and then.
Thought you'd find that amusing.
