Age: 43 (if this works out, I'll be 44 at delivery)
Other diagnoses: one ovary and tube, endo, hypothyroid from Hashimoto's
FSH/AMH Readings: Highest was 10.7 at age 38. Have not been tested in several years.
Successful Protocol: timing things on our own
History (previous attempts, IUI's, TI cycles, m/c): For DS#1, did 3 iui's and 2 (completed) ivf's (first ivf attempt was converted to iui due to poor response). Did high stim ivf's, first was a chem pg, second a straight bfn. Took a three month break, and got pg the month before I was to do ivf#3.
Began timing things about 6 months after DS was born. Got pg when ds was 14 months. That ended in a blighted ovum. Recently got pg again, when DS was about 21 months. Have seen the heartbeat and am just holding my breath to get through the next few weeks.
Advice: Give every month a chance. DH and I would bd at least once when I felt I was fertile, so there was always at least a shot of it working. I also think it's smart to get educated on supplements and take what is appropriate for your situation. I'm still nursing DS so I felt limited on what I could take, but I did do vitamin B6 to help lengthen my luteal phase. |
