This is my 3rd pregnancy. My first one was my DS, born 6 wk prematurely. The second ended in m/c in Feb. I've never been diagnosed with endo, but I've been worried I had endo and was trying to ignore it. I was finally going to see my OB in a couple of weeks to ask about it and then I got a BFP. It's not crampy, but very sharp/stabbing. I also didn't have implantation cramps/spotting with this one, when I did with my other two.
I have an apt with my OB at about 6.5 wk, but that's only a few days before I leave town for 1.5 wk, and since she doesn't have an u/s in her office, I'd have to schedule through the hospital and it's just not enough time before I leave. She doesn't do phone consults unless you call her after hours and her answering service pages her, but that's really for emergencies only. I wouldn't be worried about this at all except for the whole leaving town weeks 7-8...right at the critical time needed to find an ectopic with hopes to save the tube.
That's a good idea about the ER...I actually have a close friend here who's an ER physician and a few weeks ago when I was having some other pain, she offered to take me while she was off and do a quick abdominal u/s. Maybe I'll ask her.
