Molly

I'm so sorry for your losses.

Definitely ask for testing and request an Rx for Progesterone for sure.

I've been pg five times. (currently pg now #5) I have had 4 losses. My first was at 27 years young, my last was at 39. All 4 were natural pg's. I never did IUI or IVF. On not ONE of those pregnancies was I ever put on progesterone. And- I hate to say it, but all this time, I didn't know anything about P4. I only sought an RE's help after my loss last August, found this board and then I learned quickly just what P4 does and how important it is.

I am currently 11w4d pg. I have never made it this far. And- this is the ONLY time I have ever been on Progesterone. I can't tell you what my progesterone levels were in the other pregnancies because I don't know. I never knew to ask and I honestly don't think a regular OB will just tell you what the level is unless you DO ask. I was uninformed for a long time (obviously). But I have to think that it's VERY possible that my being on progesterone support may have gotten me this far.

I can't speak for estrogen because I knew from the get-go with this pregnancy that my levels were outstanding and I didn't need the support.

I would absolutely discuss this with your dr, especially since you know from experience that your levels were low before. Tell him or her that you wish to be on P4. He shouldn't give you a problem and if he does, find someone else who is supportive of your wishes.

For me, I wasn't expecting a BFP for this pregnancy, I had my period that turned into a huge hemhorrage that landed me in the hospital, I was preparing for my 3rd hysterogram for potential removal of a fibroid and it happened. I started the P4 when I got my + FRER at home, which was @ 3 weeks 4 days. I'm grateful I had it in the house so I could start right away.

Wishing you great luck, Molly.
