So I went to my dr.s (three a day, ouch!) and all looks good for now!
*Diabetes is being controlled through diet very well right now, though it is such a bore, but good!
*Growth, which is a worry with our umbilical cord issue, is all even and we are in the 40%, so everyone is happy with that! Whew!
*Drinking water seems to be helping the Braxton Hicks contractions, though they are still daily and frequent at night and sometimes wake me up, grrr!
But, in all, very good news this week and a huge happy relief that Kiddo is growing normally!
No talk this week of early delivery, which is great!
I do now, however, I have a diagnosis of "Irritable Uterus"... or 'grumpy uterus' as I like to say! (While having our baby non-stress test they counted 6 'mini contractions' in 35 minutes.) I have not been ordered to have bed rest yet but I have been 'restricted' in my activities. So, it's OK to do the light food shopping but no long walks and very minimal exercise/yoga. Between that and the diet I am going to be in terrible shape for labor!
They have giving me a script for "Terbutaline", only to take as needed, but it does crazy things to your heart and makes me cautious to use it. Anyone take this before? They gave it to me in hospital and I felt rather wacky heart flutters, which they said was normal. Still, not so fun. Dr.s say it's OK but it has nasty warnings on line about it.
Has anyone else had this? I found some stuff online but I'd love to hear from you!
So, all in all, things this week are very good and the Dr.s are happy. We are doing weekly checks and, for now, and we just have to deal with this new "irritable" issue!
Sara H, 35 weeks!
