i vote for keeping the appointment. it is concerning for sure that the OB didn't listen, got details wrong, and then exaggerated your medical details to the midwives. but, ultimately i don't think you have much to lose to go into the appointment and see how it goes. you might try going in with an open mind, but also ready to just can it if they're upsetting you and it doesn't feel like it is going to work out. you don't need to sit through a hostile inquisition - if it isn't going well you can always simply say something like "you know, this doesn't seem like the right fit so i'm going to excuse myself" and move on. think of it as your own recon mission, they should be "proving their case" to you! you deserve to have all your options on the table. good luck, erin.
