Labor being induced next week...

Hi, All

OK, so I am well, baby is great but due to the cord issue and my diabetes the MFM specialist wants to have me induced next week, at 39 weeks, since they don't want the baby to get much bigger or me to go longer.

Did some searches on the board but I'd love to hear your stories/methods/thoughts of being induced. Part of me wonders if we should skip strait to a c-section as we may end up there anyway? (Due to the cord issue and worries about the baby being under stress.) So, why go though the pain of induction... As of last week cervix was soft but closed, will find out Wed. were we are now.

I have been told it's up to me, about asking for a c-section, as of now. I just want both of us though this in the best way possible.

Thoughts?
