Or does it simply mean that your baby will be given antibiotics in the eyes? I really do forget many of these huge details I used to fret about while pg so forgive my ignorance.

I had 2 c-sec; the first was somewhat emergency--that's what it said on paper but if it was emergency, it was the most laid back emergency happy.gif and the my second was 4.5yrs later and I can tell you it was a faster healing time and I am not sure why, maybe because I had my #1 to take care of--?

I was going to give a vote towards c-sec until I read the bit about your DH not taking too much time off work. For that second week, could you hire a nanny for your #1? You'll be able to care for your NB but the little tyke who needs more activity might strain your energy.

I had a nanny for a month, maybe 1&1/2 months when #2 was 3-4mos old and it was great. She was part-time, brought my #1 to school and back, folded our laundry, washed the dishes and gave me an another adult to chat with. It was heaven for the 2 days a week I had her--couldn't afford any more and had to let her go when the economy tanked (early) for us but I still remember her help with fondness.

Good luck deciding what to do but from the sounds of it, this one will be big and you may be headed for a c-sec anyways...
