so I was induced at 9am (water broke at 4am) and I delivered at 8:57pm. I did not have strong contractions. If it wasn't for the pitocin and epidural I don't think I would have avoided a c section. I think it's the luck of the drawl. I am so sorry you've been worried with conflicting reports. You may read this from other parents, many who have an agenda - and that's fine for them. But the bottom line is you will never hear that from the nurses and doctors. Once you get in there, the professionals do what is in the best interest for the baby and mom. In my experience, we had a say, but we deferred to the staff at all times. And Margie - you are lucky you got to use the bathroom in private! They wheeled a porta potty to my bed. So unpleasant!
