I am also a PA resident, so I used their PA office primarily. But you do have to still go to the NJ office pretty frequently which sucked for me because of the commute(on Saturdays, for certain procedures/tests, and when the PA office is closed.)
I went there for 11 months. I have short cycles, so I actually did 12 cycles with them. 10 cycles were timed intercourse, all BFN's. I can't believe he let me carry on that long! Then I begged to try IVF and he suggested Minimal Stim IVF. The first IVF I only had 2 eggs and 1 fertilized, we transferred 1 embryo, BFN. The 2nd IVF cycle I only had 1 egg and it released before retrieval which shouldn't happen in the IVF world, yet it seems to happen often at his office. After that busted cycle I decided to switch RE's.
I switched to Abington Reproductive Medicine in Abington, PA. They are inside of Abington Hospital which made me feel safer. The docs were alot better I thought. I had my first consult in November of 2007, they did a laparoscopy in Dec of 2007 which found and removed endometriosis. Then I did 1 IUI which I got 3 eggs but a BFN. So DH and I decided to go straight to IVF, and I got pg on my first IVF there. I did a High Stim IVF and got 7 eggs. I am now almost 21 wks pg.
It's really just the luck of the draw I think. A lot of women had great luck at Cooper where other patients like me fell through the cracks I believe.
Best of luck to you!
