Anyone taken 400mg progesterone daily and had successful preg?

DD#1 I was on 400 mg/daily plus shots and prometrium--DD is now 14 months old. I am pg again and am on only 300 mg/P4 daily...

Brown spotting common?

The cervix become irritated from the suppositories, or if on pills from the extra P4, and any little irritation it receives can cause it to bleed and the blood will turn brown before it exists. Also, brown spottnig is very common in early pregnacy anyways...good luck!

This is actually very useful info for me... does anyone know many successful pregnancies with progesterone (oral prometrium 400 mg) even though having it started 4 weeks into pregnancy? I have the brown/pinkish spotting and extreme bloating.. I almost feel like I look 3 mths preg!! I am soooo scared.. I feel every little thing I am overly concerned about!! Having had a miscarriage two years I feel like Im walking on egg shells!!!

My gestational surrogate was on a tremendous amount of P4 throughout the first 20 weeks of pg. I think she was on 2cc of PIO plus 800mg of suppositories. Everytime they tried to wean her, her levels dropped too low for comfort, so they jacked the supplements back up. Everything's still looking good for us at 22 weeks.

recommends taking the 400 mg until the end of first trimester (my experience).

I used the supp. messy but now over 21 weeks so it was worth it.

I was on alot of P4 and I am now 21 weeks pg. I got pg via IVF.
