Getting lots of braxton hicks, at least I think that's what they are. OB wants to check cervix and membrane procedure at week 29 to get things moving along. I hope I don't have to be induced this time. Would like to go into labor on my own. Feeling good, washed my truck and did some gardening yesterday. Still pretty active but am experiencing lots of swelling and water retention. We are all getting so close!!! Can't wait to meet our little man!!!!
I can't even tell if I have dropped yet. People are still shocked I am 37 1/2 weeks pregnant but I am gaining weight at a pretty good pace now(29 pounds total). My dr said I could have 3-5 pounds of fluid in my feet alone. BP is going up and down but is under control. I believe jumping in a hot shower and speeding(60mph in a 35 mph) to my weekly appointments is my real problem with the BP. I am going to have to turn the music down and slow down once my little girl arrives. No contractions just some light cramping on one side every once in a while. I think I will be going to term.
I'm feeling pretty good...no real pressure down there but lots of braxton-hicks. I go in for internals and non-stress tests 2x a week...it's a pain but also kind of reassuring. I'm on modified bed rest and I've lost 2 lbs (I guess all water weight) last week...but I have feet and ankles again. I'm at around 35lbs of weight gain total. Can't believe it. The odd thing for me now is I'm extremely thirsty ALL OF THE TIME. I think I drank 2 gallons of water yesterday. Not sure what that's about. Cervix is sealed shut...no signs of softening either so I'm not hopeful that I'll go early. Oh well. Oh, and we did a scan yesterday and I saw the baby's lungs practicing breathing. It was so cool.
Feeling pretty good, although short of breath and pretty tired. Lots of nausea still (whassup with that??) some leg swelling at night.
I don't have another appt. until next week. At that point, I think they'll check him to see if he's head down or if we'll need to attempt a version (hope not!) At my last appts. the docs thought he'd moved into a head-down position, so let's hope so!
B/p has been good; gained about 18 lbs so far. Pretty much on par with what I gained with DS. I look like I have a beach ball stuffed up my shirt
Still getting lots of b/h contrax. I'm waiting to lose my plug like I did with DS...I had him days later, so I'm hoping for that kind of advance notice this time, too.
Last day in the office is on Tuesday...yikes! Working from home after that.
Can't believe July is here! (Course, here in the NE it still feels like March, sigh.)
Hugs,
Meg

This is my first. I have been hoping to go a little early but I doubt that will happen. I've been having BH for a while now so I don't think it means much in terms of when I will go into labor.
I forget if you know what you are having Chapter2. do you know? I don't.
I seem to have all of your symptoms except BH. I am very thirsty too and think I lost 1 pound this week. My dr could't believe I couldn't urinate for a sample 2 weeks ago. I feel dehydrated on days my BP is high. They didn't even do an internal this week as the cervix was totally closed last time they checked.
I am having a little girl and can't wait. Not knowing what to expect is the worst..
Been getting them for a few weeks now but they seem more frequent and more uncomfortable now. They come on more often when I'm active, walking, doing laundry or bascially when I'm on my feet. This is #2 for me ( DS 5 years old) and I don't remember getting BH with him at all but then I did have to be induced with him. Water broke with DS and no labor. Would be nice to go into labor on my own this time. I don't feel I'll go early though.
I just read the thread....how fun!! Glad we are all doing as well as can be expected @ this point!!
I am @ 4cm dilated and 100% effaced. I haven't had any real constant contractions like I had last week. She stripped my membranes but from what I've read on the web it won't necessarily do anything. I also had an NST today....all was well.
I am up 33 pounds....yikes.....hoping it is all baby and fluid..LOL!
I'll start getting internals at my appt next week and the lovely GBS screening. I am large and in charge- I've gained 33 lbs, which is actually less than I gained with my DD. It somehow still looks like it's all belly. I'm getting lots of BH contractions and hiccups.
I am so ready and yet I am only at 32 weeks. I have gain 32 lbs and I am so big. Most people think I am having twins. I do have b/h as well. specially at night.
What is that, at least 7 of you going in the next month or so??? It is so exciting and encouraging to read all of these success stories. What an inspiration and privilege to be here. I think back to when I first heard the term "High FSH," how hopeless I felt, and well....High FSH scores be damned!
I'm 15 weeks tomorrow. And still can't believe I've gotten this far.
Best of luck to all of you as you enter the home stretch -- I can't wait to hear about each new baby!

..is how we refer to this baby growing inside of me.
One of my nieces was born on Christmas Eve almost 17 years ago, and my sis-in-law just freaked me out by saying "Oh you don't want to be in the hospital then. I had all the third string nurses during the holiday!" Great, thanks.
At least that's on the very bottom of my list of things to worry about, assuming almost no one goes on their EDD.
My dd was due on 12/25/06 but she came 5 days early (We have a nephew on our side and a niece on DHs that have 12/25 B-days)
Funny thing was.....DH and I were not married or even engaged yet and we both are from very Catholic families....I figured why bother with bc since my history of 7 failed IVFs with the ex...who knew?
One of our Catholic School nieces was about 7 at the time and her mom had to explain how we were having a baby and not married. Caitlin said "Oh I get it. It is like Mary and Joseph." Um yep immaculate conception....totally hilarious!!
BTW,we had the best nurses and docs during the holidays......don't even let that bother you.
Congrats and enjoy......your Xmas is going to be the BEST ever!!!!!!!!!!!
Yup, I come from a very Catholic family myself, so at least my mom is thrilled by the connotations. My niece claims having a birthday on the 24th sucks, because no one can ever hang out with her due to other holiday plans.
I'm personally not a big fan of Xmas, but I think that's going to change this year when we (hopefully) get the best present EVER!
At this point I believe I am going to go a full 40 weeks which would leave
my due date July 16th. My doctor even said he will let me go till July 23rd....SCARY
I really haven't had much braxton hicks but occasional cramping in the morning.
I have kept my blood sugars pretty much in control excluding last couple of nights which
means my doctor thinks the baby is going to come in between 7-8 pds. Last appointment
he informed me that we are going for a vaginal birth. I have gestional diabetes...SUCKS!!!
I have gained 37 pds. And have only gained 2 pds last trimester. I stopped working out
once I found out I was pregnant for fear of miscarriage. Looking back that was not a brilliant
move on my part and along with age put me at risk for gestational diabetes.
I go in today for another non stress test and an internal exam.
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE THIS MONTH...IT IS GOING TO GET REALLY EXCITING!!!
