Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! You'll start feeling flutters in the next few weeks. Now I'm feeling outright kicking...so special.

23 weeks on Monday

Man, time has flown! I told DH last night that we need to get cracking on the nursery soon.

You'll have your big ultrasound soon...it was the best b/c you can see the baby in great detail (and for 30-45 minutes).

so I need a tip

April 2 2011, 12:26 PM

we are NOT finding out the sex. Is it really as easy as telling the peri "don't tell me"? I know you found out. Does your chart have a sticker or something that says "OK to reveal"?

I will be so pissed if they mess this up since so many people do find out nowadays.

the level 2 scan is on Cinco de Mayo!!!

Be sure

Be sure to tell the sonographer that you DO NOT want to know the gender. Also, if the doctor comes in to check the scan, warn him/her not to reveal the sex. I know several people who've chosen not to find out, and I've never known any of them to receive the news by accident. Of course, that doesn't mean it can't happen.

I'll warn you, though, that as much as you've probably looked at ultrasounds pictures, I wouldn't be surprised if you have a strong suspicion, especially if you're having a boy. I could see that my baby was a boy as plain as day!

that's the "scary" part

April 2 2011, 7:12 PM

that I'll figure it out on my own. sad.gif

I have been very perceptive of the u/s images from the very beginning! But the last u/s was the NT at 12 weeks so too early to tell at that point.

Here is an idea

April 2 2011, 9:15 PM

Bring a sign with you and a thing of tape and tape it on the door of your exam room.

"Please, DON'T TELL US if it's a boy or girl."

Keep it in your purse and put it up whenever you have an exam!

A sticky note on the sono monitor might help, too!

Good luck!

Sign on brain

Mrs A needs a sign in her head. "Do not see the penis! Do not see the penis!"
