So I met with a Dr who's certified in the Creighton Model and Naprotechnology. Their views are pretty extreme against IVF, birth control, etc. But I don't really care...all I cared about was their views on progesterone. And they supplement with a higher concentration 200mg shot twice a week and if your level is still on the lower side...then you are to add suppositories. So not vastly different from what I've been doing with the daily shots, but at least I have a Dr that will want to check my progesterone level regularly and advise me accordingly.

He said these shots would not interfere with the 17HP shots my MFM wants to give me. So I'll be doing 3 shots/week and my suppositories. Not too bad considering I was doing daily shots! My rear will appreciate the break. Haven't figured out if insurance is covering it all yet...just hoping it will!

This Dr knew my MFM well and knows they don't agree on things, but he said they both have the same goal...which is a healthy baby and he won't interfere with what my MFM wants to do. I'm hoping I don't even have to tell my MFM about him. But I'm sure it will come up eventually.

I'm feeling good though. Got my first shot yesterday and I'll pick up my prescription today and do it on Tuesdays and Thursdays at home. Still waiting to hear back on whether my insurance will cover the 17HP shots. Fingers crossed!

Yes, I'm 16w3d today...getting kinda nervous, but trying to embrace this all at the same time...it's very hard! So torn! We've told our close family and friends and people at work were starting to notice, so I told a few here. But I haven't made a FB announcement or anything crazy like that. I probably won't do that til I have the baby! ...God willing.

I'm going to be seeing extended family over the holidays and I think we might tell them at that point too. Just hope I can get there w/o anything scary or sad happening. With all these holiday gatherings coming up, it just really scares me b/c I keep thinking..."What if something goes wrong?" It could go wrong at a holiday function, or right before and just ruin Christmas for us...UGH! It's all so scary!

I hope your meeting with Cooper goes well on Monday! I bet he still remember me....feel free to update him if you like! He probably knows me as the girl from Sioux Falls who emailed him annoyingly! I wish you all the best for your #2!!!

I know how nervous I was until the point of viability, and I didn't have any prior losses to haunt me...so I can only imagine how nerve wracking it must be for you. I think if you approach the situation with the same attitude that you approached your HCG numbers you will be good. The best thing you can do for you and your little girl is to remain calm and just take it easy. If you feel tired, rest. If you feel any stress or anxiety about going somewhere for the holidays then just don't go. I remember having to cancel a work pro golf training that was invite only in Chicago b/c I just didnt' have a good feeling about it. I also left a July 4th family function b/c I had some spotting and I just came home and relaxed on the couch with some Bravo TV! LOL

You are so close to 17 weeks!!! That is a great indication I think and you are doing everything in your power to make this work. Just think, in only 2 weeks and 1 day ...the stress of the holidays will be over!! Hang in there and as hard as it is just try to relax and take it one day at a time.

I had an IUI Monday. I didn't get to mention you to Cooper, because he didn't do it actually..it was a nurse. Plus, I dont' want to Jinx anything for you. ( I am superstitous (sp?) that way.) I will tell him once you are at viability. I am doing unmedicated OPK times IUI's. Simple simple for now. If it doesn't work this month, then after a vacation I have planned in January I am going to start Acupuncture and eating modifications again since it worked last time.
