Thanks for the most comprehensive site. I was hanging out at the high FSH board and got excellent advice from Jamie and Houston. In March was diagnosed with DOR (highest FSH was 31), AMH was .16 and a hydrasalpinx. 2 RE's said less than a 1% chance of a healthy pregnancy. Last RE wanted to remove the right Fallopian tube, had previously had left ovary damaged with a dermoid and would be out completely for a natural pregnancy. Was set to meet w/2 last RE's out of town to get last opinions before DH and I moved on to other options. In April the 2nd RE diagnosed hypothyroidism and put on synthroid.
Last Monday got a BFP on a HPT and RE confirmed with beta test. Nurse said all the blood work was beautiful. But what should i be specifically asking about the lab results? Tomorrow, we have the first sonogram and I am so nervous. What should I be asking? What should I expect to see? Any advice would be much appreciated. Trying to stay cautiously optimistic and be educated as best I can be to be a proactive patient. Thanks for your time and best wishes to everyone!
How far along are you? Early us don't show much except the location of the embryo and checking your CL cyst. If your RE says something like "it doesn't look right" or "I should see more", ignore him. Ask about your prog level. Most Drs will say above 10 is fine but if it's below 20 maybe ask for prog support. Congrats!
