Wanting scooter, which to get?

I want to get an older scooter for speed. Not crazy fast like over 50mph. But Id like it to accelerate fast. My neighbor has a 86 spree for sale. Ive heard sprees are good for modding. I heard Aero-50 and elite-s are though. I want the 50cc and under scooters too. I would like one that has easy free/almost free mods you can do, like simple airbox mods and exhuast and pulley stuff thats cheap. What do you guys think?

Then after I get one, where are good sites to get mods for it?
