Ok I have searched the archives here extensively, and Brian... thank you for all the useful and practical info on hopping up Sprees. My question is; Did you ever get a variator to work on a Spree crank? Also, If not, What are your ideas on the subject? is the front pulley keyed to the crank? Is the o.d. of the crank the same as the i.d. of variators from similar models? Have you considered a spring tensioner on the lower belt? I imagine I will go at it myself and maybe take up where you left off, but I need to know what you've done and I hope I hear no more from the naysayers about how Sprees are junk. They are a great ped and we can make them better. Thank you Dayton
