Hey,
I've been working with vtcycles and my local mechanic to get my scooter going a little faster. From vtcycles I got the 65cc metrakit, koso variator and weights, and a proma exhaust. My scooter really flys now, but I'm getting a weird noise when I decelerate. It sounds like it's coming from the transmission. It's a rattling noise that occurs when I'm decelerating, but it seems like only when I'm using the rear brake. It also stops when I come to a stop. This didn't happen before I put all the upgrades in.
My 'diagnosis' is just a wild guess, but I'm thining something in the clutch. Actually, I did something stupid the first time I replaced the clutch springs (the 3 and the big one)- I forgot to replace the circlips that hold the clutch pad arms on the spindle (descriptive term, i don't know the real name for it). So I took it apart and put them back on. I thought the sound was less pronounced, but I left my scooter at home for a month while my parents got the brakes replaced and a new tire. So when my dad brought it to me I notice the sound is pretty annoying. Is this noise caused by uneven wear in the clutch pads?
I'm going to the shop very soon (as soon as I find one here) to get my rear brake cable adjusted, and I'm going to talk to them about this, but some insight from you guys would help me out!
Thanks,
Nate
