when cleaning the petcock,you should treat it like a carbeurator and run a fine piece of wire thru it to dislodge any large pieces of dirt or debris that are blocking it ONLY if its not a vacuum operated petcock which honda is famous for useing. what kind of bike is this on? if there is more than one fuel line going to the petcock, chances are its vacuum operated and fuel will not flow until vacuum is applied to the correct fuel line. also, make sure the vent in the gas cap is not plugged up. if it is, it may be causeing a vapor lock.
