i took my cover off of the chain case on my 78 express and there was a spring just laying in there. i think its the kicker spring but not sure. and i think it hooks up to the kicker arm but again not sure. but if it does go to the kicker arm where else does it hook up at? if you have any pictures or links to pictuires id really appreciate it, or if you could just explain to me where it goes it would be a great help..thanks
