Hi Whiz,
I make a flange out of 3/16" flat stock. You can cut it out with a hack saw and weld pipe to it. If you have to make bends in the pipe cut a 'V' where you want it to bend. Keep cutting 'V's while it is bolted in place so you can contour it to you ped. Weld all the 'V's when it's just right If you have a MIG it's pretty easy. I built a stainless steel exhaust for my car this way. I even copied the mufflers by cutting the old ones apart.
