I've heard of doing that before....but I have no knowledge of that kind of stuff. I do go to a trade school though...sadly its for electrical and not automotive...but theres ways in my school i can weld stuff...we can braze...spot weld...soder....and that crap. Im just afraid that when i was cutting it i would cut the wrong place or something and have it messed up for ever. Is there really a certain place to cut...cant i just take a saw and cut right down the middle....take everything out and braze it back togehter? Also...whats the heat shield? is that in the muffler or just that thing that covers it?
