Yamaha makes a carb. cleaner that you mix with gas,
you have to drain the fuel from the float bowl and
fuel lines and pour this mixture in. you got to rock
the ped from side to side and briefly hit the starter
to draw mixture into jets and passages. after one hour
drain mixture, reinstall fuel lines and let fresh gas
into the float bowl. if it won't start or runs
improperly, you got to drain the gas from the float
bowl, put in fresh carb. cleaner mix, circulate thru
the carb. and let sit overnight.this only helps get
rid of varnish and fuel residue. if the carb, has
to be taken apart and cleaned I have used this cleaner
50/50 with hot water as a mix and have had good results
